Actually, I broke down and got the HF200 camcorder to film my son's school. The idea that it was a nostalgic look back at the event, and remember, I just take the plunge. Well, now I have about four months, enough time to be able to offer some ideas used in the functions and advantages.

Right out of the box, the size of the Canon HF200 really blew my mind! I want to tell you that this is a small device! For God's sake,weighs 12 oz. I can just in case, take my camera to my belt. SUPER portability!

Now the downside, that small size, even while shooting. Can be done, but it certainly takes some 'getting used to. Even a slight tremor can cause some distortion in the images.

Speaking of images, the sharpness and clarity of images produced by this unit is absolutely amazing! Canon has always recognized leader in image technology. This model hasThe HD CMOS image sensor that captures 1920X1080! Super resolution!

In addition, Canon E 'state of the art image processor has the famous DIGIC DV III. All this adds up to great pictures.

At first I was a bit 'worried about how my video would be available if shot in low light. Indeed, much of the closing ceremony was at home in one conference room.

Do not you worry! The HF200 came like a champion! The video was crisp and cleareven in low light!

And what about still shots? After all, my camera "snobs" I warned some friends, the camera could not hve enough megapixels. Wrong again! The shots were still surprisingly natural colors rich and full.

So far I are excited about this great addition to my electronic "toy collection. And believe me, I am" playing "with a sack So if you have someone on your Christmas list that is very special, just the right giftcould be the HF200.
